On March 8, 2021, Stellar was born. A group of dedicated college students found themselves searching for a way to change the narrative of collegiate research with an emphasis on the gospel. With this in mind, they wanted to do something extraordinary by engineering a project to send to space. Our team was developed and began work on our first project, the microbial fuel cell, during the 2021-2022 academic school year at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix Arizona. This project was a life-changing opportunity for the entire team and we look forward to developing the next project each and every year moving forward! It is the goal of the Stellar team to foster a sense of community and develop skills like problem-solving, effective communication, and time management. We want our team to feel like no task is too difficult and imagination is infinite!
To offer a platform for students to design, test, build, and launch a project to the International Space Station that will prospectively impact life on earth and help advance research in the microgravity scientific community
To foster a community where students can build and send research projects to the International Space Station with a missional gospel mindset
